BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder petrol engine.
The new generation BMW TwinPower Turbo 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine guarantees maximum driving pleasure. It is notable for its agile power delivery as well as for its outstanding responsiveness even at low engine speeds, while also being fuel efficient and low in emissions.
BMW xDrive.
The intelligent BMW xDrive all-wheel drive system smoothly and variably distributes drive power to the front and rear wheels for maximum traction, driving dynamics and safety in every driving situation. For even better agility, the electronically controlled power distribution for instance counterbalances oversteer or understeer on bends.
Steptronic Sport transmission with double clutch.
The 7-speed Steptronic Sport transmission with double clutch offers incredibly sporty gear changes. Whether automatic or manual using gearshift paddles or gear lever - for comfortable coasting or incredibly dynamic driving. In SPORT mode and with the gear lever in the left-hand S/M position, the gear shifts are configured for maximum performance.
Adaptive suspension.
The adaptive suspension combines driving dynamics and ride comfort with a high degree of safety. The driver has the option of preselecting the damper characteristics via the Driving Experience Control. Along with the standard COMFORT setting, SPORT mode is also available.
Driving Experience Control.
The Driving Experience Control lets the driver choose between the standard COMFORT mode, ECO PRO Mode which is geared towards efficiency, and SPORT mode which enables even more dynamic driving. ECO PRO mode adjusts the characteristics of the accelerator, Steptronic transmission, if present, and the heating/air conditioning settings to make the drive as fuel-efficient as possible.

Intelligent driver assistance systems.

Innovative operating concept.
In line with the state-of-the-art driver orientation in a BMW, all displays and controls are neatly arranged and within easy reach. They are clearly grouped into the categories of driving, comfort, display and operation. This means that new drivers can quickly find their bearings and the amount of time their eyes are diverted from the road is kept to a minimum.
Touch Interface.
Operating the Infotainment system is now even easier, clearer and more informative. The driver can control it via the touchscreen, the iDrive Controller or voice control, according to their preference. The tiles are now displayed as live tiles on the main menu instead of a static menu view.
Instrument cluster with Black Panel design.
The Instrument cluster in Black Panel design features four analogue displays – for speed, engine revs, fuel gauge and current consumption – as well as an Info Display showing the outside temperature, motor oil temperature and various functions of the on-board computer.
BMW Head-up Display.
The full-colour BMW Head-Up Display projects relevant driving information onto a panel in the driver's field of vision, which means they can remain focused on the road. Current speed, directions from the navigation system, Speed Limit Info incl. no-overtaking indicator and telephone and entertainment lists, among other things are displayed, depending on the equipment.
Driving Assistant Plus.
The Driving Assistant Plus equipment provides a clear improvement in safety and comfort. It includes the Approach control and Person warning with light city braking function, Lane Departure Warning, High-beam assistant, Speed Limit Info, Camera-based cruise control with Stop&Go function as well as Traffic jam assistant.
Apple CarPlay®.
Why go without the features of your iPhone in your BMW when you can continue operating it as usual? The preparation for Apple CarPlay® gives you remote access to telephony as well as apps like iMessage, WhatsApp, TuneIn, Spotify and Apple Music. You can also use the voice button on the steering wheel to access Siri, Apple’s voice assistant.
